Asterix organizes a number of competitions every year. On this page you can find some information about these competitions.
Every year during October the Asterix cross takes place. Athletes can choose between the long and the short cross. The long cross has a distance of 7.6 km consisting of four rounds, the short cross has a distance of 1.9 km consisting of one round. The cross takes place in the Eckartse Bos, behind the Karpenonkse plas.
The pentathlon is the club championship of Asterix. It consists of five events: 100 metres, long jump, shot put, javelin, and 1000 metres. For each event points are awarded, the one with the highest amount of points is the winner.

The Asterix trackmeeting is a yearly recurring evening competition on the track of Eindhoven at Sportpark de Hondsheuvels.
This track competition offers a unique sprinting competition (60-100-200m), a throwing competition (shot-put, javelin, discuss) and separate events.
Organised by Eindhoven Athletics Association Asterix this competition has electronic time registration at the running events and wind measurement at long jump.
The last event is the official NK Beerchase. Afterwards there is a party in our own canteen next to the track where all participants and volunteers are invited.

The Dommelloop is a running event which gets organised by Asterix every year in the spring. The dommelloop takes place on the TUe campus along the river Dommel.
Every level of runner is welcome to join one of three events. 5k, 10k or a relay of 4 x 2.5k. The start and finish will be near the Student Sport Centre (SSC) on the campus (Onze lieve vrouwenstraat 1, 5612AW in Eindhoven). More information can be found on the website: https://www.dommelloop.nl/


The Paarse bos cross. is a yearly recurring competition at the Groote Heide, organized within the Kempian Cross Competition. This year also the Dutch Student Championships Cross are organised here.
This cross is held in one of the most beautiful forests of the Netherlands, close to the Hut van Mie Pils.
Besides the usual events of a cross country race, also a cross-country-relay is organized, where teams of 4 athletes can compete.
